With the ever-expanding use of 64-slice CT in cardiac imaging, concerns have risen over patient exposure to unnecessary radiation. Clinicians in particular are struggling with how to reduce radiation dose and still achieve optimum diagnostic imaging results. Now researchers are finding that significant radiation dose savings can be achieved through ECG-gated dose-modulation, also known as ECG pulsing.
