GE HealthCare has launched Invenia ABUS (Automated Breast Ultrasound) Prime, along with ABUS StreamVue, an enterprise viewer that has received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the CE Mark.
The system expands the company's breast imaging portfolio with tools for supplemental screening of women with dense breasts and remote exam review, GE HealthCare said. Invenia ABUS Prime features cSound Imageformer with AI-enabled tools for scan quality assessment and nipple detection, a Fast Scan tool that increases scan speed by up to 40%, and AI-supported reading powered by QVCAD, which the company said has demonstrated a 33% reduction in reading time and up to 93% sensitivity for lesion detection. Invenia ABUS Prime has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration premarket approval and CE Marking.
ABUS StreamVue is a browser-based reading solution designed to enable remote exam review across enterprise imaging networks, according to the company. GE HealthCare is collaborating with Candelis on the technology.
Among the first U.S. installations of Invenia ABUS Prime is at BeSound in Los Angeles, the company said.
