PIUR Imaging has launched an updated version of its PIUR tUS Infinity software, an AI-powered 3D ultrasound tool designed to reduce thyroid examination time and improve workflow reproducibility.
The updated software guides clinicians through a three-step process: a single sweep per thyroid lobe for automatic analysis and annotation, clinician review and validation with an integrated ACR-TIRADS calculator for nodule classification, and automated generation of a structured DICOM SR report for direct transfer to PACS, the company said.
Image acquisition can be completed in as little as 10 seconds per lobe, and overall scan-to-report time can be reduced by up to 60% compared to conventional 2D ultrasound workflows, according to the firm. A PowerScribe plug-in is planned for future release.
