MAUI Imaging has secured $14 million in Series D funding in a round led by Acertara Acoustic Laboratories.
The cash will support the company's production, sales, and marketing of its computed echo tomography (CET)-based imaging technology, it said.
The company's MAUI K3900 ultrasound imaging system was cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in October 2023, according to the firm.
MAUI Imaging announced a $4 million contract with the U.S. Department of Defense in August of last year. The contract was to "support trauma medicine across four branches of the military seeking to enable faster diagnosis and interventional care in high volume or mass casualty events and resource-limited environments," the company said.
