Verasonics launches new system models, features

Verasonics has released new systems and features for its Vantage NXT Research ultrasound platform.

The upgrades include Vantage NXT 32LE and 64 System configuration models and Acquisition SDK option features, and will be available to all Vantage NXT customers.

Verasonics' Vantage models are available in mid- and high-frequency ranges with the 32- and 64-channel configurations. Verasonics has also released two additional universal transducer adapters (UTAs) for Vantage NXT: the NXT UTA 260-MUX and NXT UTA 408-GE MUX.

The company's Acquisition SDK option, launched in March, now includes programming capability for the NXT UTA 256 Direct and NXT UTA 64 LEMO, as well as an Extended Transmit Option and Vantage NXT high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) configurations.

Acquisition SDK allows Vantage NXT users to program their system without Matlab dependencies, and offers similar data structures and naming conventions to those of the Matlab programming model to simplify the porting of existing sequences to Acquisition SDK, the company said.
