USXi is designed for ultrasound vendors to incorporate into their products, and includes a new algorithm that performs real-time speckle reduction and image enhancement. Based on the company's GOP algorithm, the software includes extended parameter customization to fine-tune signal output for particular usage scenarios, according to the company.

In related news, ContextVision announced that it has sold over 10,000 image enhancement licenses in 2006, of which approximately two-thirds were for ultrasound systems.
