Siemens Medical Solutions has unveiled Paragon, a new release for its Sequoia echocardiography platform. The announcement, made at this week’s annual American Heart Association (AHA) meeting in Orlando, brings new quantitative applications and workflow enhancements to Sequoia, according to the Malvern, PA-based vendor.
Paragon includes fourSight transesophageal echocardiography(TEE) view for Siemens’ V5M transducer, which is designed to provide physicians with easier access to 3-D images, according to the vendor. Other additions include Axius quantitative strain rate imaging (QSI) for reviewing functional cardiac data, and Axius auto-tracking contrast quantification for quantitative assessment of contrast agent uptake within tissue over time.
