AtomVie Global Radiopharma has opened a new radiopharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Hamilton, Ontario.
The 72,300-square-foot facility is the largest single-site contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) facility in North America for radiopharmaceutical development, according to the company, and provides more than a tenfold increase in AtomVie's manufacturing capacity. It is designed to support progression from early development through commercial manufacturing, AtomView said. The firm invested more than $160 million to build the facility.
AtomVie, a spinout of McMaster University's Centre for Probe Development and Commercialization, said it's targeting more than 200 employees by the end of 2026 as the new site scales toward full operations.
