Multimodality imaging technology provider Mediso Medical Imaging Systems has purchased the intellectual property of Cameleon4, an MRI spectrometer developed by longtime partner and French spectrometer firm RS2D.
The deal builds on an existing technology license and commercial agreement between Mediso and RS2D over the last seven years for nanoScan, a line of 3-tesla and 7-tesla MRI scanners based on cryogen-free superconducting magnet technology. In 2019, the companies also completed a technology transfer deal for the nanoScan intellectual property.
As a result of the new deal, Cameleon4 has been integrated into the nanoScan product line. Financial terms were not disclosed.
