Multimodality vendor Siemens Medical Solutions will spotlight its new TruePoint SPECT·CT hybrid imaging system. The product combines the functional sensitivity of SPECT with the anatomical detail of diagnostic multislice CT, according to the Malvern, PA-based vendor.
TruePoint SPECT·CT is capable of measuring attenuation correction with diagnostic multislice CT, providing an accurate attenuation map, Siemens said. The technology is available on the company's Symbia product family of hybrid SPECT/CT cameras, which are available in various detector configurations and CT slice thicknesses.
The TruePoint SPECT·CT is targeted toward emergency rooms, hospitals, and outpatient clinics for cancer, cardiac, and neurological diseases. The product has been cleared by the FDA and is available now worldwide, the company said.
