Konica Minolta Medical Imaging has introduced its ImagePilot Aero flat-panel digital radiography (DR) detector in the Latin American market.
Konica Minolta said ImagePilot Aero offers the performance, flexibility, and economic value that Latin American hospitals and clinics need to care for their large numbers of patients. The model will be available throughout Latin America except for Brazil.
ImagePilot Aero allows for scalability and a variety of workflow options, Konica Minolta said. It can integrate with most other x-ray systems with its AeroSync automatic x-ray detection technology or a hand-switch connection, and the unit offers automatic image processing. An efficient user interface streamlines the imaging process to maximize productivity and patient satisfaction, the company said.
The 14 x 17-inch AeroDR detector weighs only 5.7 lb and comes with grip strips to facilitate maneuvering between exams, Konica Minolta said. Meanwhile, "drop-tolerant" construction and a long-life rapid-charge power cell help keep the unit in operation.
