GE HealthCare has entered into an agreement to acquire French CT interventional guidance firm Imactis.
Imactis has developed CT Navigation, a stereotactic needle guidance system that allows for the preplanning and management of a wide range of CT procedures, GE said. CT Navigation includes a workstation, guidance software, and a disposable procedure kit. It is currently approved by both the European Union's Medical Devices Regulation and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
