Samsung NeuroLogica has installed its Samsung NeuroLogica Mobile Stroke CT scanner at the Santa Lúcia Hospital Network in Brasilia, Brazil.
The installation is the first of its kind in Brazil, according to the firm. The mobile unit features the company's CereTom Elite eight-slice mobile head CT scanner, and it can be used in settings such as nursing homes to image stroke patients more quickly.
The unit also includes equipment that allows it to be used as a mobile intensive care unit, Samsung NeuroLogica said.
