Samsung NeuroLogica fulfills Fla. order

Samsung NeuroLogica has sold its OmniTom mobile CT scanner to Nicklaus Children's Hospital in Miami.

With its omnidirectional wheels, OmniTom is designed to scan and collect real-time data on pediatric patients at the bedside. The scanner can perform noncontrast axial and helical CT, CT angiography, and CT perfusion imaging at the point of care, the company said.

Its large bore size allows for scanning beyond the head and neck and also increases safety for intubated infants who have many lines inserted, according to Samsung NeuroLogica.
