Samsung Electronics is demonstrating a new CT system and upgrades to its portable CT line at RSNA 2015.
The company is debuting the NExCT 7 CT scanner at the conference. NExCT 7 is the first premium CT scanner from Samsung that features high resolution and it is designed to reduce the radiation dose as low as reasonably achievable. Some features of the NExCT 7 are pending 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
Samsung is also showcasing its latest software and hardware enhancements across its portable CT product line. The upgrades improve user satisfaction and streamline workflow, and both systems are now compliant with the Smart Dose (XR-29) radiation dose reporting standard, according to the company.
