Toshiba Medical Systems is launching a faster version of its Astelion/Advance multislice helical CT scanner at ECR 2014 in Vienna.
Astelion/Advance's 16-row detector is now available with a speed of 0.6 seconds per rotation, which reduces breath-holding time and contrast agent volumes, and offers support for a wide range of clinical applications -- such as cardiac calcium scoring and lung volume analysis, according to Toshiba.
