Chinese joint venture Direct Medical Systems has received Food and Drug Administration clearance to market its DMS-C800 CT scanner and DMS-880P portable black-and-white ultrasound system in the U.S.
DMS of San Ramon, CA, is a joint venture between several Chinese manufacturers and the government of the People's Republic of China. The company said it's currently applying to the FDA for clearance of its MR, ultrasound, and mammography systems.
