GE Medical Systems shipped its 500th LightSpeed multislice CT scanner a little under two years after launching the system, the company said. In addition to the units already shipped, the Waukesha, WI-based vendor has a backlog of 100 systems, according to Dow Wilson, global general manager for CT.
