Italian contrast firm Bracco Imaging of Milan is planning a direct entry into the Korean market.
A report in the JoongAng Daily states that Bracco Korea aims to provide medical contrast agents to Korean healthcare providers and compete with Bayer Schering Pharma of Berlin and GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K.
According to the publication, Ilsung Pharmaceutical had an exclusive right to sell Bracco products in Korea, but Bracco Korea has recovered that right from Ilsung.
