Making the most of MRI to assess the rotator cuff pre- and postinjury
By
Shalmali Pal
In a new
American Journal of Roentgenology
paper, Irish investigators evaluated the correlation between MR findings and outcome after fluoroscopically guided subacromial bursography and steroid injection, which is a common way to nonoperatively treat rotator cuff impingement. Palliative radiotherapy cuts symptom severity in bone metastases
By

These symptom clusters may have an effect on patient morbidity, therapeutic outcome, and treatment failures. In a presentation this week at the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO), Canadian investigators explored whether palliative radiotherapy positively affects symptom clusters.
