Proving breast cancer screening efficacy remains complex
Breast imaging expert Dr. Daniel Kopans of Massachusetts General Hospital takes issue with a recent study on the use of ultrasound in breast screening. The study fails to prove the efficacy of ultrasound in a screening role and could have dangerous implications, Kopans believes.
