Radiology portal AuntMinnie.com, part of Science and Medicine Group, has launched RADCast@ISMRM, a special section of its website devoted to daily coverage of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM) annual meeting and exhibition, May 11-16.

Featuring in-depth articles and videos by AuntMinnie.com's experienced editorial team, RADCast@ISMRM provides wall-to-wall coverage of the premier medical conference dedicated exclusively to MRI. Important topics at this year's conference include the following:

  • The future of breast MRI
  • Integration of MRI into the electronic medical record
  • The impact of machine learning on MRI
  • The importance of safety and preventing accidents in the MRI suite
  • Cutting-edge advances in MRI such as elastography, 7-tesla MRI, MR angiography, and new image reconstruction techniques

"MRI is one of the most powerful and exciting technologies in medical imaging," said Brian Casey, editor in chief of AuntMinnie.com. "We're pleased that AuntMinnie.com is onsite in Montreal to provide comprehensive coverage of these important scientific proceedings."

The wide range of scientific and educational material being presented in Montreal is an indication of the amazing accomplishments of MRI, as well as its potential to shape healthcare in the future, according to ISMRM 2019 President Pia C. Maly Sundgren, MD, PhD, head of Diagnostic Radiology, Institution of Clinical Science, Lund University in Sweden.

"MRI is a potent diagnostic tool that is benefiting an increasingly large part of the world community, in spite of its costs," Sundgren said. "The diagnostic value of MRI has still, by far, not reached its limits."

The RADCast@ISMRM can be reached at radcast.auntminnie.com. Daily editorial coverage of ISMRM 2019 will run from May 11 to May 16.
