ASRT, Canon accept applications for Safety First grant

The American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) and Canon Medical Systems USA are taking applications for their Safety First grant program.

This initiative awards two ASRT members with up to $7,000 in funds provided by Canon for implementing a program that improves the safety of radiologic technologists in the workplace, according to the ASRT and Canon.

In 2017, award recipients used the grant to purchase lead-free aprons for a hospital in Fredericksburg, VA, and an MRI-safe cart for a hospital in Terre Haute, IN.

Eligible facilities can apply online; the deadline is June 29.
