Siemens taps new CTO

Siemens Healthineers has appointed a new CEO, Martin Stumpe.

Stumpe's new position will take effect June 1, according to CEO Bernd Montag, who announced the appointment in a LinkedIn post.

"His deep expertise in software development and artificial intelligence in the healthcare space, will significantly contribute to increasing our impact and leadership in Healthcare AI -- an essential connector to our strategic strengths in patient twinning and precision therapy," Montag wrote in the LinkedIn post. "Martin Stumpe brings extensive experience from renowned institutions and leading technology-driven companies, including NASA, Google, and Tempus Labs. Most recently, he served as Chief Technology & AI Officer at Danaher Corporation in Washington, D.C."
