Siemens Healthineers and Cleveland Clinic have entered a 10-year strategic alliance expanding their 35-year relationship, covering diagnostic imaging, cardiology, radiation oncology, interventional radiology, and x-ray technology across the health system.
Under the agreement, Siemens Healthineers will expand its on-site team at Cleveland Clinic to more than 30 dedicated employees, including technicians and training personnel. Support will include expertise to assist Cleveland Clinic in developing a theranostics cancer treatment program combining targeted imaging and therapy, the firms said.
Additional collaboration areas include establishing Cleveland Clinic as a Center of Excellence for MRI technologist education, CT protocol optimization in cardiology and image-guided procedures, radiation safety education, and integration of intelligent software and automation into imaging workflows. The companies said the alliance builds on a relationship that has produced more than 100 research projects and 70 peer-reviewed publications.
