HealthHelp taps new chief medical officer

Radiology benefits management firm HealthHelp has appointed Dr. Uday Deshmukh as its chief medical officer.

Deshmukh comes to HealthHelp after a six-year stint as senior medical director of clinical operations at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida. Prior to that, Deshmukh spent seven years at Cigna, most recently serving as national senior medical director for complex and specialty case management, according to HealthHelp. He is also currently an assistant professor of internal medicine at the University of Central Florida.
