Carestream gets DR install for 2012 Olympics

Carestream Health of Rochester, NY, has won an order for three of its DRX-1 wireless digital radiography (DR) detectors to be used in preparation for imaging athletes at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

Homerton University Hospital is located two miles from the main Olympic venues in London. The hospital installed the detectors to add DR functionality to its existing radiography equipment and help it handle an expected increase in workload due to the 100,000 people expected to attend the 2012 games.
