Carestream Health has installed a trio of Carestream DRX-Ascend x-ray systems at Alta View Clinic in Sandy, UT.

The outpatient clinic, affiliated with Alta View Hospital and part of Intermountain Healthcare, plans to use the devices for urgent care, orthopedic, pediatric, and other radiology exams. The systems are expected to handle more than 2,500 imaging exams per month.

Each DRX-Ascend features a Carestream DRX Plus 3543 cesium iodide detector designed for high-resolution imaging, offers an optional elevating float-top table with a weight capacity of up to 650 lb, and is capable of imaging pediatric and adult patients, as well as those in wheelchairs.
