Foundation Radiology Group buys Oryx

Radiology services provider Foundation Radiology Group (FRG) has acquired radiology practice management firm Oryx Medical Services of Roanoke, VA.

The deal is another step in FRG's plan to build a nationwide network of radiology physician groups to provide year-round diagnostic imaging services, according to the Pittsburgh-based firm.

The company has also appointed Dr. Gerald Johnson Sr. as vice president of sales and marketing, and Brandon Smith as vice president of program management. Smith comes to FRG from advanced visualization firm TeraRecon of San Mateo, CA.
