OIA launches radiology business services program

Imaging center developer Outpatient Imaging Affiliates (OIA) of Nashville, TN, has introduced a radiology business services program in which OIA will take over management of a center's operations.

Under the program, OIA on behalf of a center's existing ownership will assume responsibility to manage, supervise, and direct all nonclinical aspects of the center on a day-to-day basis. The company said it will provide annual management and budget plans that will address all aspects of center operations, including such items as financial forecasts, marketing initiatives, volume estimates, capital expenditures, and staffing requirements.

Additional aspects of the program include a sales and marketing effort with incentives to meet or exceed budgeted exams for each modality; information technology programs to ensure a paperless flow of information within the center and to/from any relevant third parties; and responsibility for all financial requirements including periodic reporting, accounts payable, financing options, and audits to compare actual performance to budgeted expectations.

OIA also said it will provide a billing and collections service that includes oversight of all front-office responsibilities, either as a standalone product or as part of the radiology business services program.
