EP MedSystems adds revenues in Q2

A 77% gain in intracardiac ultrasound product sales and the introduction of its ViewMate II ultrasound system -- developed with Philips Medical Systems of Andover, MA -- helped boost revenues at West Berlin, NJ-based EP MedSystems in the second quarter (end-June 30).

Revenues increased 31% to $4.3 million, compared with $3.3 million in the second quarter of 2006. The company’s net loss declined 42% to $1.3 million, compared with a net loss of $2.2 million in the year-ago quarter.

For the six-month period, revenues grew 7% to $7.9 million, compared with $7.4 million in the same period last year. The company's net loss improved to $2.8 million, compared with a net loss of $3.7 million in the first half of 2006.
