CompuMed revenues slip amid higher losses

Medical informatics firm CompuMed reported third-quarter revenues of $478,000, down 14% compared with the $554,000 booked a year ago. For the period (end-June 30), the Los Angeles-based firm had a net loss of $130,000, compared with a net loss of $51,000 last year.

Revenues from OsteoGram sales and services decreased 62% to $20,000, due primarily to a slower than expected launch and ramp-up in OsteoGram partner sales, CompuMed said. Core ECG services and product revenues dipped 9% to $458,000, primarily due to a continued reduction in ECG rental income, according to the firm.

CompuMed said it's making a change in its sales management to support efforts in growing the OsteoGram side of the business.
