Siemens adds digital to mobile x-ray

Multimodality vendor Siemens Medical Solutions of Malvern, PA, has added a flat-panel digital detector option to its Mobilett XP mobile x-ray system.

Mobilett XP Digital features a flat-panel detector at 43 x 35 cm (17 x 14 inches) for enhanced viewing, and can store up to 3,000 images in its internal image memory. The system also offers a touchscreen with an intuitive user interface, Siemens said.

Image data can be transmitted through wireless access or a cable to the hospital's information system for archiving and documentation, according to the vendor. The Mobilett XP Digital system will debut at the RSNA show later this month.
