CompuMed, Fuji sign licensing agreement

Medical informatics firm CompuMed of Los Angeles has signed a five-year licensing agreement with Fujifilm Medical Systems USA that allows Fuji to integrate its OsteoGram osteoporosis screening software with Fuji's computed radiography (CR) systems and future CR mammography systems.

OsteoGram is a medical image processing system that allows users to screen, diagnose, and monitor osteoporosis using digital images from filmless x-ray equipment or film-based hand x-rays.

Fuji will place an initial order for 10 OsteoGram systems, then license and distribute the package on its existing and new CR systems in the U.S. Stamford, CT-based Fuji is highlighting OsteoGram-enhanced CR systems in its booth at the RSNA show in Chicago.
