CompuMed revenues up in 2005

Medical informatics firm CompuMed reported fiscal 2005 revenue of $2.3 million, up 23% compared with the $1.9 million reported in fiscal 2004. For the period (end-September 30), the Los Angeles-based firm had a net loss of $336,000, compared with a net loss of $275,000 a year ago.

Revenues from the vendor's OsteoGram osteoporosis diagnostics business declined from $152,000 in fiscal 2004 to $118,000 in fiscal 2005, attributed to slower than expected implementation by OEM partners, CompuMed said. The company said it believes OsteoGram sales growth will be achieved via the development of applications for digital imaging equipment.
