A larger than anticipated decline in revenues from contract services adversely affected financial results for imaging services provider InSight Health Services of Lake Forest, CA, in the second quarter of fiscal year 2010 (end-December 31).
Second-quarter revenues decreased 19% to $47.6 million, compared with $58.7 million in the second quarter of fiscal 2009. The company's net loss increased to $8.4 million, compared with a net loss of $6.7 million in the same quarter a year ago.
For the six-month period, revenues declined 19% to $97.8 million, compared with $121.3 million in the same period of fiscal 2009. InSight Health's net loss increased to $14.7 million during the first half of fiscal 2010, compared with a net loss of $13.6 million in the same six-month period of fiscal 2009.
