Siemens gets U.K. MRI order

Siemens Healthcare of Erlangen, Germany, has taken an order for its Magnetom Verio 3-tesla MRI system from the British Heart Foundation Glasgow Cardiovascular Research Centre at the University of Glasgow in Scotland.

Magnetom Verio will be used for research in imaging heart muscle injury in heart attack patients, assessing carotid artery circulation in patients at risk from stroke or with a history of stroke, and for clinical trials and translational research.

The MRI system was funded by the British Heart Foundation.
