GE and Hansen ink angio deal

GE Healthcare has inked an agreement with Hansen Medical of Mountain View, CA, to jointly market robotic catheter technology with angiography systems.

GE and Hansen will work together to promote the use of GE's Innova angiography imaging platform and Hansen's Sensei robotic catheter system. Sensei allows physicians to position robotic catheters in difficult anatomical locations within the heart; Innova helps users perform angiographic studies efficiently during electrophysiology and interventional procedures, according to Chalfont St. Giles, U.K.-based GE.
