Cook donates $2 million to Baptist-Miami

Interventional firm Cook has donated $2 million to the Baptist Cardiac & Vascular Institute Foundation in Miami to establish the Barry T. Katzen Medical Director Endowment Fund at the facility.

The Bloomington, IN-based firm said that the fund is named after the institution's medical director and founder, Dr. Barry Katzen.

In other news, Cook reported that preliminary hospital reimbursement for endovascular repair of abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA) with the company's Zenith AAA stent graft has been granted in Japan. Cook said it expects full reimbursement in Japan starting in March, and will launch a complete rollout of the Zenith stent graft system across the country at that time.
