IMV buys AuntMinnie.com

Market research and consulting firm IMV of Greenbelt, MD, has purchased AuntMinnie.com from Eastman Kodak Health Imaging. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

IMV President Ashok Shah said IMV is committed to providing resources to fulfill AuntMinnie.com's vision of continuing as the preeminent medical imaging e-health site, while also supporting the independence and objectivity of its editorial content.

Kodak President Dan Kerpelman said the company sold AuntMinnie.com because owning a news and information Web site wasn't part of Kodak's core strategy. The Rochester, NY-based vendor had acquired AuntMinnie.com in 2000 as part of its purchase of film digitizer and computed radiography vendor Lumisys.
