Smith & Nephew releases RF probe

The endoscopy division of medical device firm Smith & Nephew has launched a line of monopolar ablation probes, Sculptor, for the treatment of soft tissue in joint-related injuries.

The monopolar radiofrequency (RF) line of surgical devices offers six different tip configurations to address a range of surgical indications in the knee and shoulder, including ACL notch preparation, meniscal debridement, and subacromial decompression. The tip configurations are available in variety of angles and offer other options, including suction/non-suction and tip malleability, according to the Andover, MA-based group.
