February 21, 2017 -- Teleradiology services provider USARad has signed a worldwide distribution agreement with Siemens Healthineers.

Under the deal, USARad's services will be offered via a global cloud-based sharing and collaboration platform as part of Siemens' new Digital Ecosystem. Health professionals using Siemens diagnostic equipment will be able to request subspecialty radiology consultations from USARad, as well as second opinions from U.S. medical experts within all specialties via the company's SecondOpinions.com division, according to USARad.

The services will initially be offered in English, with optional translation into multiple languages. Written, phone, and video consultations are offered at on-demand turnaround time, the company said. In the future, USARad plans to extend the service to patients.
