Agfa and PhorMax ink CR alliance

Computed radiography firm PhorMax of Palo Alto, CA, on Dec. 3 announced a CR technology sharing deal with film and PACS giant Agfa of Ridgefield Park, NJ. Under the agreement, Agfa will provide PhorMax with its Musica software for CR image processing.

PhorMax will integrate Musica software into its CRView low-cost readers. Musica employs algorithms to enable artifact-free enhancement of detail and contrast in CR images.

PhorMax launched CRView at this month’s RSNA conference in Chicago. The company already has an agreement with Agfa in which it will offer the company’s storage phosphor plates to CRView customers and distributors.
