Imaging Dynamics sells 31 Xplorer units

Digital x-ray developer Imaging Dynamics (IDC) has received an order for 31 of its Xplorer 1700 systems from distributor Integra Medical Imaging (IMI) of Australia.

The order reflects IMI's minimum performance obligations and grants the company exclusive distribution rights in Australia, New Zealand, and the Oceanic countries, according to Calgary, Alberta-based IDC. The order will be fulfilled over an 18-month period, with six units to ship in the latter half of this year and six per quarter thereafter, according to IDC.

IMI also maintains an alliance with Shimadzu Medical Systems for the distribution of Shimadzu medical imaging products and services, according to Alan Yates, IMI's managing director. The Australian firm views IDC's charge-coupled device (CCD)-based Xplorer system as a key component of Shimadzu's radiology solutions.
