AuntMinnie's IMV MarketStat #7: Number of planned CR purchases

2002 02 08 15 04 15 706
2002 02 08 15 04 15 706 Overall, nearly half (48%) of the 1,825 surveyed sites plan to acquire computed radiography (CR) units between 2001 and 2003.

Of these sites, larger facilities are more likely to plan to acquire CR units, with 60% of 400+ bed hospitals planning, compared to 52% of 200-399 bed hospitals, 42% for 100-199 beds hospitals, and 26% of the nonhospital sites.

In the IMV 2001 PACS Census, only high-volume imaging sites in the 100-199 bed hospital and nonhospital site types were surveyed, so their representation in this survey is not proportional to the number in the universe of all imaging sites.
