Medical image-sharing provider Life Image will provide its Mammosphere breast health data access tool to the University of Chicago to support a large-scale clinical trial for breast cancer screening.
The Wisdom breast cancer screening trial aims to determine if a personalized, risk-based screening protocol will lead to improved clinical outcomes compared with current screening guidelines.
Life Image's Mammosphere will provide Wisdom trial researchers with greater accessibility to the participants' prior breast health records and more easily track changes over time, the company said. Life Image is also helping the University of Chicago achieve streamline access to PACS and the electronic health records of trial participants from other locations and affiliate sites.
