May 5, 2023 -- Ricoh 3D for Healthcare has received expanded clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its 3D-printed diagnostic anatomic models for cardiovascular, neurological, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and breast applications.

In June of last year, the company received FDA clearance for its craniomaxillofacial (CMF) and orthopedic patient-specific anatomic modeling. This expanded clearance will allow Ricoh to support more surgical specialties and patient diagnoses with diagnostic quality 3D anatomic models of bony and soft tissue using 3D printing technology firm Stratasys's 3D printing technology, it said.
