Biodex releases thyroid analysis software

By AuntMinnie.com staff writers

September 25, 2013 -- Medical imaging table and accessory supplier Biodex Medical Systems has released a DICOM module that enables its Atomlab 960 thyroid analysis software to connect to hospital information systems.

Introduced in March 2013, Atomlab 960 is designed for the analysis of nuclear medicine thyroid uptake studies. The new optional DICOM software module incorporates Atomlab 960 with hospital IT systems and retrieves patient information from the worklist without exiting out of the clinical software, according to Biodex.

Atomlab 960 thyroid uptake reports can now be transferred, stored, and queried/retrieved throughout a facility, and physicians can view both images and uptake reports simultaneously.
