Neocis gets FDA nod for new Yomi component

By AuntMinnie.com staff writers

May 13, 2020 -- Robotic dental implant surgery developer Neocis has received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for a new component for use with its Yomi technology.

Yomi provides robot-assisted guidance relative to preoperative plans based on CT scans and can be used with conebeam CT scanners installed in dental offices. The new component reduces the CT scanner field-of-view requirements for Yomi, which Neocis believes will broaden the market for adoption of its robot-assisted dental surgery system.
