Healthcare IT spending to rise 9% in 2003, 2004

Healthcare information technology (HIT) analysts Sheldon I. Dorenfest and Associates of Chicago is forecasting a growth rate of 9.3%, from $21.6 billion to $23.6 billion, in the U.S. HIT market for 2003, with another 9.3% increase, to $25.8 billion, forecast for 2004, according to the firm.
